This mine is one of the oldest lead & zinc mines in Iran, which is located in Taft city ,20 km SW away from Yazd city. From 1947 a lot of mining activities have been done in this mine. Up to now a lot of different foreign companies from different countries like Japan, Yoguslavia and France have done some mining activities such as exploration and exploitation in this mine. The total ore grade of Lead & zinc in upper layers is about %15 and it is carbonated, but the ore in lower layer is sulphide. Based on exploration researches that have been done up to now, four anomalies are found. Due to geological researches and clues, there is a possibility of 2.5 million ton Lead & Zinc ore in this mine.
